Concern of Distress: Unidentified rash

Persona: Priya, 33, New Mother

Priya recently gave birth and has been wearing some non-organic maternity and nursing wear for convenience. Her husband loves giving her massages every week, and she tends to do some stretches to restore herself from postpartum moods. However, she’s noticed some shadowy rash developing around her abdomen and under her breasts.

The rash was red, itchy, and persistent, but Priya hasn’t been able to identify the exact cause. All her bras ended up smelling nasty after wearing them all day because of underboob sweat. It felt like a sunburn and was more noticeable, and this left Priya frustrated and horrible.

She suspects the inorganic bras may be to blame, as they don’t allow her skin to breathe, especially when she sweats while caring for her newborn. The rash adds to Priya’s postpartum discomfort, making her feel even more self-conscious and irritable. Likewise, sweat gathered under the mommy-tummy, and it felt gross, further dragging Priya’s feelings in the mud.

Priya is now seeking non-reactive, natural-fibre underclothing to ease her skin issues. She prefers choosing bamboo fabric, which IS REALLY SOMETHING, SOFTER THAN COTTON. Now she has some nice pairs to use.
