Customer Persona: Heat Rash

Concern of Distress: Heat Rash

Persona: Vikash, 38, Construction Worker

Vikash often suffers from the ordinary heat rash (prickly heat), with small red bumps appearing on his chest and back. He works for extended periods outdoors in hot weather, wearing protective gear made from synthetic fabrics. In this situation of hard work in intense environments, he often sweats profusely under his clothes.

The itching discomfort from the rash keeps Vikash from concentrating on his work — the literal skin-on-fire feeling. He had fellow workers experiencing the same skin condition on body parts. Vikash sensed that inorganic gears obstruct the evaporation of body sweat to create such rashes. As this started being a frequent problem that slowed down everyone from work, Vikash started using organic underclothes that were breathable and made with natural fabrics. He recommended the same to his co-workers to avoid the recurrence of rashes and discomfort.

From then on, all the outdoor workers had remedial calamine creams at hand to ease them if any symptoms arose. Additionally, they took regular breaks, washed themselves, and changed into fresh and clean clothing if necessary for healthy skin and comfort. Organic clothes weren’t the cure but a prevention measure that helped the skin cool down and didn’t set the ground for further rash buildups.
